Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Supports Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians during daily surgical procedures by assisting with patient preparation and recovery, maintaining detailed surgical records, and providing clear, compassionate client communication.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the needs of your team and work closely to implement the veterinarian's orders while maintaining a smooth workflow to keep surgeries on schedule.
• Maintain detailed surgical records.
• Provide clear, compassionate client communication.

Requirements

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in anesthesia set up and monitoring experience.
• Proficiency in dental prophy experience.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and IVC placements, cystocentesis.
• Proficiency in lab sample processing.
• Proficiency in client communication and education.

Qualifications

Full-time Benefits And Compensation
Compensation: $18-$20/hour, based on experience and skillset
Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Pay

Schedule

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. No Weekends!!
