Veterinary Assistant
About the role
This is a hands-on role built for someone who loves being in the thick of patient care and who truly enjoys client communication and education. The majority of your time will be spent working as a Veterinary Assistant — supporting exams, treatments, and procedures alongside our veterinary team — with one to two days per week dedicated to front desk responsibilities, including managing appointments and patient flow, handling multi-line phones, processing transactions, and supporting clients with information about our services for both small and large animal patients.

Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant or veterinary reception role
- Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
- Proficiency in safe, gentle patient handling and restraint for dogs, cats, and large animal patients
- Client communication and education, including treatment plan review and discharge instructions
- Accurate medical record keeping and treatment documentation
- Experience managing a multi-line phone system while assisting in-person clients
- Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records

Pay and Schedule
- $15 - $18 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday - Saturday
- Typically working 1 Saturday each month from 8 am - 1 pm
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant or veterinary reception role
- Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
