Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Join our team at Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, a hybrid hospital providing both Emergency and Primary Care services. We’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support our patients, clients, and clinical team.

Schedule

4x10s Monday-Friday (flexible), Saturday shifts will be required upon expansion of weekend Primary Care services

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect medical histories
• Provide routine patient care and administer vaccines
• Auxiliary treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia monitoring
• Perform blood draws, run in-house laboratory work, and place IV catheters
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Support a variable caseload depending on season
• Assist with scheduling, client check-in/out, answering phones, and other duties as assigned

About You

• 1–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant required
• Experience in a small animal practice
• Caregiver with strong client service skills
• Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Team: 8 DVMs, 6 RVTs, 29 Support staff
• Facilities: 2 ORs, dental suite, radiology, ultrasound, PRP, Cellfie, in-house lab, Ligasure & cautery
