What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient restraint during exams, treatments, and blood draws
- Help ensure the safety and comfort of patients and team members during procedures
- Prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical suites, instruments, and equipment
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, including patient histories, vitals, and treatments
- Clean, sanitize, and stock exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels
- Feed, walk, and provide routine care for hospitalized patients and boarders
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Greet clients and patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out as needed
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Complete pharmacy refill requests
- Process client payments and support front desk workflows
What You’ll Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of veterinary hospital experience preferred
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and basic veterinary terminology
- Basic knowledge of veterinary pharmacology
- Experience with veterinary practice management software
- Strong communication and client service skills
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and stand for extended periods
- A strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
