Position Details

Role: Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full-time

Schedule: 9 AM-5 PM with a rotating Saturday with hours 7 AM-Noon; no nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours

What You'll Do

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Absorb and perform routine tasks under supervision
  • Absorb and perform advanced tasks under supervision
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care
  • Education clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and support an efficient daily workflow
