Veterinary Assistant

At Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital, we're searching for a compassionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a Full-time or Part-time position offering a competitive salary starting from $17 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians and technicians with patient care and medical procedures
• Safely restrain patients during examinations and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
• Support daily hospital operations and help maintain an efficient workflow
• Deliver exceptional care while creating positive experiences for every patient and client
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure outstanding service and patient care

Requirements

• Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
• Compassion for animals and the people who love them
• A positive attitude and collaborative mindset
• Strong communication and client service skills
• A willingness to learn and continue growing professionally
• Reliability, initiative, and strong organizational skills
• A genuine commitment to teamwork and kindness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Assistant (VAAI)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
