Kelley Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative, multi-doctor practice serving the northern suburbs between Shoreview and Blaine. Whether you're planning to become a Veterinary Technician, preparing for veterinary school, or simply passionate about animal care, this is an outstanding opportunity to build your skills alongside an experienced veterinary team. Our Veterinary Assistants are an essential part of everything we do. From supporting patient care to helping clients feel welcomed and informed, you'll play an important role in delivering the exceptional service our hospital is known for.
Schedule
- Four 9-10-hour days
- No weekends
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and assist with appointment check-in and patient flow
- Safely restrain animals during examinations and treatments
- Fill prescriptions and prepare medications under veterinary supervision
- Assist with reception duties and client communication
- Support the medical team with daily patient care and hospital operations
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Deliver compassionate care to every patient and outstanding service to every client
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working in an animal-related setting preferred, or a degree in Animal Science, Biology, or a related field
- Compassion for animals and the people who love them
- Strong communication and client service skills
- A positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continue growing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A passion for providing exceptional patient care and client service
