About the role

South Maui Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. Candidate's must be available for Saturday shifts.

Role Responsibilities

• Animal Handling
• Pre- and post-operative patient care
• Creating and presenting financial options and estimates
• Accurately entering service charges into client processing database
• Extensive client interaction and education
• Preparing medications
• Taking X-Rays of animals
• Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by our in-house veterinarians.
• Drawing blood samples for testing

Requirements

• At least one year of veterinary experience
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
• Team Player
• Attention to detail
• Able to multitask
• A commitment to outstanding client service
• Exceptional interpersonal skills

Compensation

$21-$25 Hourly depending on experience.
