Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a pet sitting service, ensuring pets are cared for safely and comfortably while their owners are away.

Responsibilities

• Arrange pet care schedules based on client requests and availability.
• Ensure pets receive proper nutrition, exercise, and attention during the caretaker’s absence.
• Handle emergencies involving pets, contacting local veterinarians if necessary.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Experience caring for animals, preferably dogs and cats.
• Good communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate pet sitting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in pet care or similar roles.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Pay
