About The Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our evening team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic hospital environment, works well under pressure, and is passionate about supporting emergency and specialty patients during critical times.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with emergency exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
• Safely handle and restrain patients, including those that may be critical or unstable
• Monitor hospitalized patients and promptly report changes to the medical team
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas, cages, and equipment
• Support overall hospital flow and maintain a high standard of organization and patient care

Requirements

• Previous veterinary assistant or animal care experience preferred (emergency experience a plus)
• Availability for evening shifts and rotating Saturdays
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn

$18–22 per hour (based on experience)
