Animal Dermatology Clinic - Marietta is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their growing team. Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent relations with clients/pets in the waiting area and exam rooms
• Exceed the client’s expectations of service
• Compassionate nursing care is the top priority for all patients
• Housekeeping/maintenance
• Perform a cursory examination of an animal
• Recognize potential patient issues
• Clearly communicate findings to a doctor
• Record keeping
• Fill prescriptions and dispense medications as prescribed by the doctor

• Knowledge of medical related skills such as preparing and restraining animals during procedures, anesthetic induction, anesthetic monitoring, assisting in surgery, suture cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues, applying bandages and/or splints, wound care, using a stethoscope and otoscope, and advising pet owners on proper care

$21.00 - $23.00 / hour depending on experience
