About the role

Lakeview Pet Hospital is a well-established AAHA Accredited Hospital and Fear Free Certified Practice in NW Oklahoma City. Our clinic utilizes modern technology to practice the best medicine including IDEXX digital x-ray, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house labs, dental x-ray, interactive exam room technology, and much more. We are a family-run business with a high emphasis on honesty and integrity. We take a personal interest in each of our team members and want someone that is as passionate about patient care as we are. Our clinic is proud of our new facility and we're looking for the right person to join our growing team.

Requirements

  • Veterinary experience, 2+ years
  • Effective communication with clients and team members
  • Understands the importance of client education and patient care
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Careful and compassionate toward our clients and their pets
  • Motivated to continue to learn new skills
  • Multi-task efficiently
  • Positive and supportive team player

Responsibilities

  • Confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, surgical recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork
  • Has experience with x-ray and proper positioning
  • Has knowledge of in-clinic laboratory equipment
  • Understands the importance of client education
  • Comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint
  • A positive and supportive team player
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must
