About the role

Royston Animal Hospital seeks a small or mixed animal veterinarian to join our dynamic team of six doctors, four LVTs, and a supportive staff. The ideal candidate will lead our practice, serving local canines, felines, equines, and other large animals. Located in the Piedmont region of northeast Georgia, the clinic offers state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, and advanced soft tissue surgery. We collaborate with local shelters and rescue groups, offering a supportive environment for both veterinarians and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse range of patients, including small and large animals.
  • Lead a team of veterinarians, LVTs, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with local shelters and rescue groups to provide care and support to the community.
  • Participate in professional development through continuing education and CE allowances.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine.
  • Experience in leadership roles or a strong track record of managing a team.
  • A valid Georgia veterinary license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for veterinary medicine.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy veterinary practice.
  • Experience working with a variety of species, including small and large animals.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
