About the Role

PriorityPet Urgent Care (“PPUC”) is redefining how pets access veterinary care by bridging the gap between routine veterinary visits and emergency hospitals. Our urgent care model provides after-hours walk-in care for pets experiencing urgent, non-life-threatening medical concerns, helping families access the care they need when they need it most. PPUC supports the local community by offering convenient evening and weekend hours.

As a Lead Veterinarian, Partner & Owner, you will step into a leadership and Medical Director role where you will help create a brand-new hospital from the ground up. You will have full medical decision-making authority to shape medical protocols, select equipment, and hire your team, backed by the resources of a dedicated support team of over 140 professionals across HR, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, Operations, and Strategic Growth. This role offers true medical autonomy, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care and leading a high-performing veterinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of a new veterinary urgent care hospital, including equipment selection, team hiring, and shaping medical protocols.
  • Exercise full medical decision-making authority to practice veterinary medicine autonomously.
  • Provide high-quality patient care and mentor other veterinarians.
  • Manage and promote a positive clinic culture aligned with Alliance Animal Health’s core values.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure the highest standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
  • Active veterinary state license and current DEA License/USDA Accreditation (or obtained upon hire).
  • 3+ years of veterinarian experience.
  • Compassionate leader with experience managing a team and fostering a positive clinic culture.
  • Strong communication skills and a drive to provide high-quality medicine.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 to $220,000, based on experience, qualifications, schedule, and compensation structure.

Schedule

After-hours walk-in care with convenient evening and weekend hours. No overnights.
