About the role
Are you a Veterinary Medical Oncologist looking to join a growing team in a VECCS Level I facility and walk into a busy, pre-existing caseload? Do you want to collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans in a collegial and team-based culture? Do you enjoy teaching students, interns, and residents? If so, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans
- Enjoy a collegial and collaborative work environment
- Support with boarded specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian/Exotics, and Critical Care
- Enjoy an Antech reference laboratory in the building with an on-site clinical pathologist
- Promote a doctor-led, medicine first approach
- Offer equity options to veterinarians
Requirements
- Boarded Specialist in Veterinary Medical Oncology
- Experience in treating cancer cases in companion animals
- Ability to teach students, interns, and residents
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Connecticut
- Passing score on the North American Board of Veterinary Specialties (NABVS) examination for Veterinary Medical Oncology

- Excellent communication skills
