Veterinarian - Medical Oncologist

About the role

Are you a Veterinary Medical Oncologist looking to join a growing team in a VECCS Level I facility and walk into a busy, pre-existing caseload? Do you want to collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans in a collegial and team-based culture? Do you enjoy teaching students, interns, and residents? Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans
• Enjoy a collegial and collaborative work environment
• Support with boarded specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian/Exotics, and Critical Care
• Enjoy an Antech reference laboratory in the building with an on-site clinical pathologist
• Promote a doctor-led, medicine first approach
• Offer equity options to veterinarians

Requirements

• Boarded Specialist in Veterinary Medical Oncology
• Experience in treating cancer cases in companion animals
• Ability to teach students, interns, and residents

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Connecticut
• Passing score on the North American Board of Veterinary Specialties (NABVS) examination for Veterinary Medical Oncology
