Veterinarian - Medical Director
About the role
Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Medical Director to lead their Manchester location. The Medical Director will guide clinical excellence while providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to companion animals, including cats and dogs.
Responsibilities
- Establish and uphold medical standards across General Practice and Urgent Care services
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians
- Lead case discussions and promote collaborative medicine
- Partner with hospital leadership on growth, recruiting, and strategic planning
- Foster a positive, high-accountability, team-driven culture
- Maintain a clinical presence with a customizable schedule
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college
- Active Missouri veterinary license in good standing
- 3+ years clinical experience preferred
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
Compensation
$175,000–$258,000 total earning potential (ProSal with no negative accrual)
Bonus
Up to $50,000 Annual Medical Director Stipend
Schedule
Full-time with flexible options. Choose from 6-hour or 12-hour shifts (8am–2pm, 2pm–8pm, or 8am–8pm). No on-call or after-hours responsibilities. Hours of operation: Monday–Sunday, 8am–8pm.
