About the role

Codornices Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinarian Medical Director to lead the practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and long-term client relationships, with previous experience managing multi-doctor practices.

Responsibilities

  • Set, model, and uphold medical quality standards for the practice
  • Foster and sustain a positive, collaborative hospital culture
  • Coach, mentor, and manage veterinarians to ensure clinical proficiency and excellent client communication
  • Evaluate, develop, and continuously improve clinical competency across the veterinary team
  • Align hospital initiatives, culture, people development, and medical and operational priorities
  • Oversee maintenance and appropriate use of hospital medical equipment
  • Engage with the local community to support practice growth
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard high-quality veterinary talent
  • Act as the Responsible Veterinarian, overseeing necessary registrations and permits
  • Perform a majority of full-time schedule to maintain a robust patient caseload

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
  • Active licensure without restrictions in state of practice
  • Active DEA Registration for responsible practice location(s)
  • Any required state-controlled substance, pharmacy or other licenses and/or registrations as required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience leading a veterinary team or multi-unit experience
  • Commitment to a minimum of 35 hours per week

Pay

  • $180,000 - $200,000 annual salary (doe)
  • DVM Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Cash Program
