About the role
Welcome to Duval Animal Hospital, a well-established, full-service small animal veterinary hospital located in beautiful Green Valley, AZ. Responsibilities
- Practice modern medicine with state-of-the-art technology including digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, therapy laser, and in-house IDEXX laboratory for same-day diagnostics.
- Enjoy efficient workflows with a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio for appointments and surgery.
- Schedule & Work-Life Balance: 3–3.5 days per week & No weekends! Preferred schedule (flexible for an incoming DVM): Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
- Appointment length based on DVM preference (typically 20 minutes; longer for new grads or as preferred).
- Surgery and dentistry are not a requirement.
Requirements
- Experience in veterinary medicine, with 20+ years of experience at Duval Animal Hospital.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Arizona.
- Experience in surgery and dentistry is preferred but not required.

Pay
This position offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This structure allows you to practice excellent medicine without burnout. The preferred schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9am–4pm, with the last hour of the day reserved for admin time. Optional additional 20 minutes admin time in the morning, if desired.
