Veterinarian - Experienced or New Grad
About the role
Burke Veterinary Clinic is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team! This is a growth position as we expand our doctor team, and we welcome both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Our recently expanded, paperless hospital features five exam rooms, a dedicated comfort room, treatment area, sterile surgical suite, separate dental suite, and X-ray room. Doctors have access to ultrasound, digital X-ray and dental X-ray, Doppler, and full in-house laboratory equipment. We are a 100% small-animal practice, with doctors typically seeing approximately 10 –15 patients per day. Wellness appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes and sick visits for 30 minutes, allowing time for thoughtful, individualized care. Supportive, collaborative team that values work-life balance; new graduate mentorship with longer appointments, shadowing, and 1:1 surgical training; part-time candidates may also be considered. Located in Northern Virginia just outside Washington, D.C., Burke offers a welcoming suburban feel with easy access to everything the greater D.C. area has to offer. The community is known for its established neighborhoods, parks, trails, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, while nearby Fairfax County offers endless options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. With Washington, D.C. close by and both the Blue Ridge Mountains and the coast within reach for weekend getaways, Burke is a great place to enjoy a comfortable suburban lifestyle without giving up access to a major metropolitan area.
Pay
Competitive compensation with production opportunities.
Schedule
4-day workweek, generally 8 –5 or 9–6; Alternating Saturdays 8-2; No after-hours or on-call requirements.
