About the role

BluePearl Pet Surgery in Southwest Portland is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist to establish a new dentistry service and expand specialty care options for the community. This opportunity will join our well-established Surgical Center.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a new dentistry service within the Surgical Center
• Collaborate with primary care veterinarians, specialists, and pet owners to ensure comprehensive, collaborative care
• Provide advanced dental care services to patients
• Support the ongoing education and development of veterinary technicians
• Contribute to the overall mission of providing exceptional care and advancing veterinary medicine

Requirements

• Board-certified or residency-trained in veterinary dentistry
• Experience in providing advanced dental care for companion animals
• Strong leadership skills to manage a new service line
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon
• Knowledge of veterinary dental procedures and equipment
• Experience with dental radiology and oral surgery

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
