About the role

Rosedale Animal Hospital, a well-established full-service companion animal hospital serving Baltimore since 1976, is expanding and looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets
• Educate clients about their pets' health and well-being
• Work in a fully equipped surgical suite with multiparameter monitoring and electrocautery
• Utilize a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiology
• Perform in-house digital radiography (DR) and laboratory work
• Access to trusted reference labs and a separate hospitalization area with an isolation ward for infectious disease cases
• Use therapeutic laser for advanced treatment and pain management

• Support your clinical passions, including the opportunity to see avian and reptile patients
• No on-call or after-hours requirements; advanced cases are referred to a nearby ER/specialty hospital
• Participate in a collaborative care model with a traveling surgeon and ultrasound services led by a boarded radiologist

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Veterinarian who is passionate about animal care and ready to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Maryland
• Experience in general small animal medicine and surgery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for learning and continuous professional development

• Effective communication and client education skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
