About the role

Ridgetop Animal Hospital in Silverdale, Washington is an AAHA‑accredited small animal hospital that has served the community for over 20 years. The practice combines comprehensive general practice with same‑day urgent care and a strong surgical caseload, offering doctors the chance to treat a wide variety of medicine and see interesting, challenging cases without the schedule of a traditional emergency hospital. Services include general practice and preventative care, same‑day urgent care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, advanced orthopedic surgery (TPLO/CBLO, fracture repair, MPL correction, lateral suture), advanced procedures (TECA, cystotomy, splenectomy, PU, FHO/DFO, amputation), in‑house diagnostics and digital radiology, therapy laser, and additional supportive care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, including Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) and weekday urgent care shifts (typically 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)
• Conduct general practice appointments
• Perform dentistry procedures
• Carry out soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries (e.g., TPLO/CBLO, fracture repair, MPL correction, lateral suture)
• Perform advanced procedures such as TECA, cystotomy, splenectomy, PU, FHO/DFO, and amputation
• Utilize in‑house diagnostics, digital radiology, therapy laser, and supportive care services
• Collaborate with the veterinary team and communicate effectively with clients

Requirements

• Experienced veterinarian
• Comfortable with urgent and same‑day cases; enjoys a varied caseload
• ER or urgent care experience is a plus
• Experienced general‑practice veterinarian confident managing sick and urgent patients and interested in expanding those skills
• Values collaborative medicine
• Strong communication skills with clients and teammates

Pay

Salary range: $130,000–$160,000. Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, schedule, and the structure of the position.

Schedule

Primary focus: Saturday urgent care 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Weekday urgent care shifts typically 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Part‑time or full‑time schedules are available; the role can combine urgent care with general practice, dentistry, or surgery as desired.
