About the Role

Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital, a full‑service small animal GP practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is seeking a motivated Veterinarian to join a busy, high‑performing team. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care, in‑house diagnostic testing, external laboratory support, a well‑stocked pharmacy, an in‑hospital surgery suite, X‑ray capabilities, a supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. The position is open to new‑grad candidates and includes a mentorship program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients.
• Perform and interpret in‑house diagnostic procedures, including X‑rays and laboratory tests.
• Collaborate with local practices for specialized diagnostics when needed.
• Utilize the hospital’s pharmacy and surgical suite to provide comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain a steady caseload while ensuring excellent patient care and client communication.
• Work closely with experienced support staff to maximize efficiency and clinical success.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia.
• Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment while maintaining excellent patient care.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team‑oriented mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, plus production incentives.
