What you’ll do:

  • Provide care across all of our core service areas—HQHVSN surgery, wellness care, dentistry, and community cat medicine—supporting both owned pets and TNR/community cat populations.
  • Work alongside an experienced clinical team with opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and continued skill development across both surgical and outpatient medicine.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a four-day workweek. Veterinarians will work one of the following schedules: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday. Specific schedule assignments will be determined based on clinic needs and candidate availability.

What you’ll get:

  • We welcome applications from both new graduate and experienced veterinarians, with compensation aligned to experience, clinical competency, and service mix.
  • Starting pay will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, training, education, and organizational needs.
  • Experienced Veterinarian: Target hiring range is $150,000–$155,000 annually. Additional Compensation: Performance-based bonus of $5,000–$10,000 upon completion of 12 months of employment, based on individual performance and organizational needs.
  • New Graduate Veterinarian: Target hiring range is $145,000–$150,000 annually. Additional Compensation: Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000, based on individual circumstances; Performance Bonus: $5,000 discretionary bonus upon completion of 12 months of employment, based on individual performance, achievement of clinical goals, and organizational needs.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums; Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) fully funded to cover the plan deductible, with funding levels based on coverage tier (employee-only, employee + spouse, or family); Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with optional employee enrollment; $500 annual employer contribution to the FSA, provided regardless of enrollment, plus an additional employer match of up to $500 for employees who enroll; 401(k) retirement plan with employer match: 100% match on the first 3% of contributions, plus 50% match on contributions up to 5%; Transit and parking benefit: $60 monthly employer contribution, applicable to either transit or parking at the employee’s discretion; Paid time off; Paid sick time; Paid holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Licensed and in good standing in New York State, or eligible to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Active DEA license, or ability to obtain prior to start date (clinic will cover initial registration and renewal fees, where applicable).
  • Clinical competency or strong interest in developing skills across high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN), wellness care, dentistry, and community cat medicine.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment with strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to low-stress handling and compassionate patient care.
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple service areas as clinic needs evolve.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with willingness to support technicians, assistants, and fellow veterinarians.
  • Adaptability, professionalism, and resilience in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
