About the role
VCA North Main Street Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to oversee clinic operations and lead the team.
Responsibilities
- Directing work flow on the floor
- Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
- Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
- Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
- Aids in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Provides opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
- Mentors technicians within the department
- Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
- Refine and implement protocols
- Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- Team leadership experience
- Passion for Veterinary Medicine
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
