Veterans Caregiver
About the role
Griswold Home Care is a veteran-friendly employer seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to support veteran clients in the City of St. Louis, North County, and South County. As a Veteran Caregiver, you will assist veterans with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical care and home companionship
- Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and grocery shopping
- Aid with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding
- Ensure proper personal hygiene
- Provide companionship to veterans with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Complete and submit timely documentation for each shift
- Communicate regularly with the office about the condition and needs of the veterans you care for
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proof of car insurance
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 3+ years of home care experience (plus caring for a loved one counts!)
Qualifications
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid Social Security number. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Skills
Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude are essential. Experience with veterans is a plus.

Pay
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible hours available, including day and night shifts. Opportunities to assist veterans with varying levels of care.
