Veterans Caregiver

About the role

Griswold Home Care for South Saint Louis is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to support veteran clients in St. Louis, North County, and South County. Veterans Caregivers assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support to veteran clients
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, and companionship
• Ensure clients maintain proper personal hygiene
• Aid with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding
• Provide companionship to veterans with dementia or cognitive impairments
• Complete documentation for each shift and communicate regularly with the office about client needs

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of car insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of home care experience preferred; caring for a loved one counts!

• Passionate about serving veterans
• Positive attitude and ability to provide compassionate care
• Punctual and dependable

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts
• Experience with non-medical care and home companionship

Benefits
