Job Standards
- Reliable/Punctual - Dependable and on time.

- Physically caring for oneself and assisting another on a case-by-case basis.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must successfully complete the volunteer onboarding process including a drug screen and background check.
Essential Functions
- Operates a motor vehicle safely in varying weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, fog) and lighting conditions (e.g., daytime, nighttime, low visibility) while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations;
- Provides companionship and social support to Veterans in Delaware County through regular visits;
- Participates in community events and programs to raise awareness of Veteran concerns;
- Assists in planning, organizing, and executing events and activities for Veterans;
- Mets with assigned Veterans 1-2 times per week at varying locations;
- Observes and recognizes the needs of Veterans and communicate them to the DCVSO Outreach Coordinator;
- Maintains respectful and professional interactions with Veterans, their families, and community members;
- Represents Delaware County Veteran Services Office positively and advocates for Veteran resources and support services;
- Holds as confidential, all aspects of the job;
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;
- and Other duties as assigned.
