About the role

Meet our dedicated Veterinary Assistant team members who make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families. You'll join a supportive team at our local dispatch office and travel to Petco clinics to assist veterinarians and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

- Meet and greet pet parents and recommend veterinary services. - Assist veterinarians during appointments. - Provide exceptional customer service. - Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Travel to different Petco clinics throughout the market.

Requirements

- Love dogs and cats. - Strong team player with a positive attitude. - Ability to work in changing environments. - Responsible and accountable. - Eager to learn and grow.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

- Customer service skills. - Organizational and multitasking abilities. - Ability to handle stressful situations. - Good physical stamina and ability to lift/push/pull objects up to 25 pounds.

Benefits

Petco offers a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $15.00 - $19.25 per hour, health and financial benefits, a 401(k) plan, and a variety of incentives and paid time off.
