Responsibilities
- Aid veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Safely restrain patients for exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Absorb patient intake, obtain histories, and document medical information.
- Support surgical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining sterile supplies, and assisting with recovery.
- Collect and process laboratory samples as directed.
- Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision, as permitted.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain hospital equipment and work areas.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate pet owners on basic pet care, nutrition, medications, and preventive health.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
- General practice experience is a plus.
- Experience with Vetcove PIMS and/or HESKA laboratory equipment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals safely.
- Flexibility to work every Saturday.

Pay

Shifts will include Wednesday 1/2 day, full day Thursday - Saturday.
