About the role

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians and technicians, ensuring that every patient receives outstanding care throughout their visit.

• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments
• Assisting with diagnostic testing and sample collection
• Supporting surgical and dental procedures
• Monitoring patient comfort and recovery
• Documenting medical histories and patient information
• Educating pet owners on wellness advice and treatment plans
• Maintaining treatment areas and medical equipment
• Safely handling and restraining animals of various sizes and temperaments

Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience
• Experience in collecting blood samples and placing IV catheters
• Knowledge of patient preparation and nursing care
• Familiarity with anesthesia support and monitoring
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to multitask with a keen attention to detail
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Schedule

• Combination of opening and closing shifts
• Rotating weekend coverage
• Full-time opportunity

Pay

$16.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
