About the role

The Amt für Kinder, Jugendliche und Familien - Jugendamt in Stadt Nürnberg is looking for a Verwaltungsfachkraft (w/m/d) for the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG).

Responsibilities

• Consulting students and their parents, and providing training participants with support.
• Handling applications and decisions regarding educational assistance (BAföG) and upward educational assistance (AFBG) in simple cases.
• Reclaiming wrongly granted benefits.
• Treating claims for reimbursement from other social insurance providers.

Requirements

• A qualification as a civil servant (w/m/d) in the 2nd grade, administrative career track, Administration and Finance or
• An alternative qualification as a civil servant (w/m/d) (Fachprüfung I)
• As a quare-entry applicant (w/m/d), we offer you the Employee Training I to facilitate your entry into the position. Successful completion of the accompanying employee training I is a prerequisite for the aforementioned grouping.
• You have interest in legal application and willingness to deepen legal knowledge.
• You enjoy interacting with applicants and understanding the concerns of students and training participants; you are polite and friendly.
• You are flexible and willing to work during peak periods.
• You enjoy working independently within a team.
• You have competence for work in digital working structures.
• You have intercultural social skills.

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant professional training.
• Successful participation in the accompanying employee training I.
