Vertical Transportation Designer
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Vertical Transportation Designer. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping and improving vertical transportation systems through thoughtful design coordination and integration into complex building environments. This can be a fully remote position and we will consider applicants anywhere within the United States.
What You’ll Be Challenged To Do
We are thrilled to offer a rewarding position that involves working on cutting-edge vertical transportation projects. As a BIM / Revit Designer in the Vertical Transportation group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Managers and Technical Center Manager, contributing your expertise to multiple projects simultaneously.
Education | Experience
Associates / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD.
Familiarity with architectural and/or engineering drafting.
Experience in architectural and/or engineering drafting.
Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering design.
The ability to read design blueprints.
BIM Tasks add family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.
Experience with Revit/CAD file integration into a project.
Adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes a plus.
Experience at a firm with an ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
