About the role

The Part-Time Barista will provide exceptional hospitality, quality beverages, and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation, delivering a perfect cup of coffee or beverage to customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards.
• Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of the coffee bar.
• Absorb and implement creative ideas for new menu items, drink art, unique beverage presentations, and seasonal specialty offerings.
• Contribute to local product sourcing and collaborate with the team to enhance coffee bar offerings.
• Always adhere to proper safety guidelines.
• Occasionally work overtime for special events.
• Assist with a variety of duties and tasks as directed.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program.

Requirements

• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Prior barista or bartending experience preferred.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working a flexible schedule.
• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness.
• Reliable and consistent - Must be available for overtime for special events or meetings.
• Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
• Ability to walk, stand, and sit for periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.

Pay

The expected compensation for this position is $17.13 USD - $20.00 USD per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
