Join the Payables team and support the Vendor Enrollment team through onboarding, implementation, and relationship management. Work closely with the Account Management team to build and nurture strategic client relationships, driving growth across portfolio opportunities. This client-facing role demands the highest integrity while representing UMB and our clients.

About the role

As the Vendor Enroller, you will educate and enroll suppliers for our virtual card payment solution by following a prepared script and making outbound calls to Accounts Receivable departments. You will assess suppliers' willingness to accept Visa as payment for business invoices and document all interactions in UMB’s CRM. This role is 90% phone-based and hybrid (Monday–Thursday on-site) at our downtown Kansas City location.

Responsibilities

  • Contact vendors by phone to introduce UMB’s Virtual Card Payment solution.
  • Accurately answer questions and educate vendors.
  • Guide suppliers through the enrollment process.
  • Record details of supplier interactions proficiently and accurately in UMB’s CRM.
  • Identify and overcome objections.
  • Achieve measurable performance goals (daily, weekly).
  • Accurately input and manage vendor data within UMB’s CRM.
  • Communicate process improvements or barriers to success to management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Customer service or telemarketing experience.
  • Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity in establishing supplier relationships.
  • Strong data entry and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Experience in accounting and/or banking industry.
  • Inside sales, electronic banking, or merchant services experience.

Pay

Compensation range: $44,685 – $65,736. The posted range represents UMB’s good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and expectations for the role, though actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
