Vending Route Driver

About the role

Capitol Coffee Systems is a family-owned business that provides quality products and superior customer service to its customers in the Raleigh/Durham area. The Micro Market and Vending Route Driver is responsible for delivering products to designated customers over an established delivery route, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck and delivers items such as chips, soft drinks, bottled water, fresh foods, snacks, candy, etc., to businesses.
• Manages inventory of markets and vending machines.
• Puts away and rotates all stock; ensures each market and vending machine is fully faced before leaving.
• Maintains cleaning kit and performs daily cleaning of equipment.
• Troubleshoots and makes minor equipment repairs as needed.
• Removes spoiled fresh items at the end of each week or when expiration day will occur before the next visit.
• Informs customers of new products or services.
• Posts marketing materials correctly and professionally in markets.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints, reporting all back to the manager.
• Loads truck the day before delivery.

Physical & Job Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs while loading and unloading products from the truck.
• Stand and walk for up to 6–8 hours per day.
• Drive a company truck (non-CDL) safely.
• Manage assigned route and customer accounts efficiently.
• Use company systems and processes to perform all job duties accurately and on time.

Pay

$39,950 salary plus 2% commission on total sales paid out.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
