Vehicle Triage & Validation Engineer

About the role

The Vehicle Triage & Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing diagnostic content for both conventional and electrified propulsion systems. They will also be involved in testing protocols, CAN messaging structures, and electrical systems using tools like CANalyzer and ETAS Inca.

Responsibilities

• Develop diagnostic content for electrified and conventional propulsion systems
• Understand and apply diagnostic protocols and CAN messaging structures
• Utilize test interface tools such as CANalyzer and ETAS Inca
• Proficient in developing sophisticated diagnostic strategies, including after-treatment diagnostics and evaporative leak detection diagnostics
• Perform comprehensive component monitoring through circuit checks, rationalities, and functional checks
• Apply programming skills in C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and pseudo code modification
• Work with a multi-functional tool chain, including familiarity with IBM Rational ALM, ONG, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
• Proficient in developing diagnostic content for electrified and conventional propulsion systems
• Knowledge of Diagnostic Protocols, CAN messaging structure, and electrical systems test interface tools
• Experience with CANalyzer and ETAS Inca
• Good understanding of vehicle propulsion systems (both conventional and electrified)
• Proficiency in developing more sophisticated diagnostic strategies, such as after-treatment diagnostics and evaporative leak detection diagnostics
• Understanding with the following programming languages: C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and pseudo code modification
• Familiarity with a multi-functional tool chain, including IBM Rational ALM, ONG, etc.
