Vehicle Systems Engineer

About the role

The Vehicle System Engineer ensures programming first-time quality on upcoming, new, and legacy programs. They address escalations and support field support issues, drive FTQ initiatives, and leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain service programming framework in the DTH and GSPAS application.
• Address and resolve field support issues related to programming and diagnostics.
• Leverage AI tools to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture standards and vehicle serial data communications/networks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to function autonomously
• Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Solid understanding of vehicle systems
• Working technical knowledge with prior automotive service or engineering experience
• Understanding of vehicle data communication protocols used in service programming
• Knowledge of GM business processes, systems, and tools including ECM, SPR, PRTS, GSPAS, VCAM, DPS, and JIRA
• Familiarity with GM’s Service Programming System (TLC/SPS2) and Global Diagnostics Tool (GDS 2)
