Vehicle Support Center Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Supports team members by seeking out, developing, and disseminating technical direction
• Consults specialists and manages internal escalations
• Leads the specialist training team
• Supports Dealer Technicians by identifying customer concerns, reviewing troubleshooting results, and providing timely and accurate support
• Escalates complex issues to various internal teams
• Follows up repair progress to ensure maximum uptime
• Liaises cross-divisionally to support case handling efficiency and reduce cases
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of training program and documentation
• Compiles technical content to develop standard work procedures for case management
• Maintains all PACCAR Engine and Electrical Certifications and stays updated on current systems and technologies
• Provides technical guidance to VSC Supervisors and Managers as needed
• Collaborates with other VSC Technical Leads to maintain consistency and operational excellence
• Identifies and leads continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
• 3+ years of experience in vehicle and diesel engine diagnostics required
• Strong understanding of automotive/diesel OEM software programming and network diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated strength in coaching and mentoring to attain team goals
• Effective communication at all levels up to and including senior leadership
• Willingness to work in 24/7/365 environment, adapt to changing schedules and requirements
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
