Vehicle Supply Technician - Ambulance Fleet

Responsibilities

The role involves various responsibilities, including:

  • Supply & Inventory Management:
    • Coordinate and manage the procurement of uniforms and supplies
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage, organization, and cleanliness of the stockroom
    • Monitor supply levels, anticipate future needs, and complete inventory requests
    • Collaborate with vendors and negotiate pricing and contracts
    • Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
    • Distribute and deliver supplies and equipment to field staff, departments, and deployment stations
    • Conduct periodic audits and develop and implement inventory control procedures
    • Provide training and support to staff regarding supply management
  • Fleet & Vehicle Readiness:
    • Clean and wash ambulances, interior and exterior
    • Stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment
    • Inspect and maintain medical equipment, gurneys, CCT, and Bariatric equipment, ensuring proper function
    • Perform light maintenance such as replacing bulbs and conducting tire and fluid checks
    • Refuel ambulances, monitor fuel levels, and take vehicles for oil changes
    • Transport ambulances and assist operations with various tasks and errands as needed
  • Communication & Compliance:
    • Communicate proactively with the logistics supervisor/manager regarding ambulance and equipment status
    • Track and manage equipment maintenance and repairs
    • Maintain compliance with applicable company, county, and industry regulations and standards
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory management systems preferred
  • Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
  • Must be able to safely operate an oversized vehicle with exemplary safe driving skills

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or a related field preferred
  • Adhere to all relevant company and county guidelines
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and familiarity with medical supplies desirable
  • Knowledge of the EMS industry and regulations is a plus
  • Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 2 years
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required during onboarding

Physical Requirements

The role requires:

  • Full range of motion including standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times

Pay

The hourly wage for this role is $22.00/hr.
