Vehicle Patrol Dayshift Security Officer - Ventura

Responsibilities

  • Patrolling residential and commercial properties both randomly and regularly, while creating detailed reports based on your observations
  • Enforcing private property rules and regulations and investigating disturbances promptly
  • Taking accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences
  • Reporting in detail any suspicious incidents to the appropriate authorities
  • Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8)
  • Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
  • Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9)
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently
  • Physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Good judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Reliable and punctual

Position Requirements

  • Available to work Dayshift – 5 days a week. Weekends Required
  • Strong computer usage knowledge and ability to type at least 45 WPM
  • Good driving record and active driver’s license is required
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation
  • Integrity and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 45 WPM typing test required
