Position Summary The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialists will facilitate and manage the process of transportation of customer vehicles within an assigned region. Finalized applicants will have to work out of a Manheim auction at least once a week. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in making real time phone calls through the recorded line to verify vehicle status with pickup sitesMonitoring and correcting master data files for location errors Manage email boxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional emailsRequest Hold Harmless/ReleasesProcess Fees and post assessorial charges to recordEntry of all manual orders and processing of other AS400 system ordersInvestigating kickback of VINs by carriers to get units re-dispatchedManage escalated Client Succes VINs with peers and agentsMonitor holds and verification delaysDispatch negotiation and a heavy understanding of sales tactics to increase marginAction AutoIMS for Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, ETA'sFollowing Up with carriers on several VINs dailyBe comfortable holding carriers accountable to their planCreate and manage corrective action of a vendorMonitoring order entry failures throughout the day and correctUnderstanding of margin relative to position and some tracking of margin requirementsBuild relationship with Manheim Auction commercial team and managementMeasuring performance - understanding analytics for clients and vendorsReport on performance results for high level management and executive leadersCompile vehicle transportation related data and generate reportsFollow all job-related duties as directed by supervisorBe an outside the box thinker who can solve problems quickly Required 1-3 years administrative experience (in automotive industry preferred)Working knowledge of computer usage including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WordAbility to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver resultsExcellent customer service and multi-tasking skillsHigh attention to detail including precise data entryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Driver's License and the ability to pass a background check and drug test required. Preferred Some college education1+ years' experience in transportation field or automotive auction house1+ years' experience in sales or call center USD 16.59 - 24.86 per hour Compensation Hourly pay rate is in the range of $16.59 - $24.86/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Benefits Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
