Vehicle Mechanic (OCONUS)

About the role

SOSi is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to support maintenance and repair with an emphasis on glass replacement, brakes, and suspension work for government customers’ vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Service a wide range of foreign and domestic sedans, trucks, SUVs, and vans, both armored and un-armored (with priority on armored vehicles).
• Conduct vehicle condition inspections.
• Work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while maintaining skills with traditional hand tools.
• Use specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools, including scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
• Understand and use vehicle electrical schematics.
• Perform required administrative paperwork for vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
• Deploy periodically for vehicle maintenance and repair, both nationwide and overseas.

Requirements

• Must have a current SECRET government security clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• ASE certification.
• Mobile HVAC certification.
• Experience in vehicle condition inspections.
• Technically trained to work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while maintaining experience with traditional hand tools.
• Experience with specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools, including scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
• Experience with understanding and using vehicle electrical schematics.
