Vehicle Inspector

About the role

Our team consists of professionals who support each other, have a good eye for detail, quick hand‑eye coordination to work on their hand‑held devices and are motivated by maximizing their earning potential. If you like to work independently in the American automotive industry this might be a good fit for you. Experience in auto auction, fleet lease, body shop, or insurance adjusting is helpful. We will train you to perform digital condition reports via handheld devices on‑site at auto auctions for clients. Work location: Roadrunner Services at Alliance Auto Auction, 9426 Lakefield Blvd, Dallas, TX 75220.

Responsibilities

• Perform digital condition reports via handheld devices on‑site at auto auctions for clients.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Good driving record for a minimum of 3 years
• Successful MVR, background and drug test
• Ability to start work within 14 days of interview
• Dependable and reliable to show up on time for assignments
• Attention to detail, quality and accuracy of inspection
• Minimum of 20‑25 inspections completed per day (after training and assessment period)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather
• Ability to follow all applicable safety and health‑related guidelines
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel, and get under the vehicle to look for damage
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. (e.g., jump boxes)
• Authorization to work in the United States of America

Qualifications

• Experience in auto auction, fleet lease, body shop, or insurance adjusting is helpful
• Helpful to have 2–3 years of paint/body experience or insurance adjusting

Pay

Pay rate: $16 per hour. Job type: Independent Contractor, 1099.

Schedule

Work schedule: Monday and Tuesday 9 am – approximately 9 pm; Wednesday 9 am – approximately 3 pm; Thursday 11 am – approximately 6 pm; Friday 10 am – approximately 6 pm.
