Vehicle Hardware & Software Technician

Core Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues across mechanical, electrical, and basic software-facing systems
• Support hardware and software retrofit activity as needed
• Document issues, work performed, parts used, and vehicle readiness status clearly
• Communicate identified issues, repair status, and support needs to operations and support teams
• Help return vehicles to deployment-ready status as quickly and safely as possible

Qualifications

• Automotive or electromechanical technician foundation
• Experience performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work across mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Basic Linux familiarity, including terminal navigation and ability to review logs or error outputs
• Clear documentation habits and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Safe work practices and sound operational judgment

• Must be able to stand, walk up and down hills, bend, kneel, sit for lengthy periods, and use hands for various functions such as typing and using various hand tools
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours
• Mandatory overtime and weekends may be required
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
