About the role
Client's ESV (Electronic Systems Vehicle) Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Functional ECUs and Smart Security. The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Functional ECUs and Smart Security. Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, you will help build a North American electronics center of excellence that complements the client’s global direction.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle application of Functional ECUs (power slide door ECU, power tailgate ECU, Seat ECU, Window ECU, Sunroof ECU, etc.) and Smart Security (Smart ECU, Immobi, antennas, etc.)
- Plan structure and design of Functional ECUs and Smart Security through target setting, packaging, and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs, and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance, and quality
- Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- 5+ years as an electrical design engineer
- Must be able to work up to 30% overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in vehicle electronics development
- Experience in CATIA
Pay
$47.62/hour
Schedule
- 12-month temporary assignment
- Onsite in Saline, MI 48176
