Vehicle Detailer

Position Summary

The Car Wash/Detailer will clean and refurbish new and used automobiles.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine
• Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices
• Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime
• Utilize pressure washer to clean all off-road equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of previous car detailing experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record for the last three years
• Must be willing to operate Company vehicle
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle
• Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
• Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process
• Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 80 lbs.
• Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools.

Working Conditions

• Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions.
• Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity.
• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
• Must wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company safety standards.
• Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, however some extended hours or weekends may be required, and work schedule will vary.
