About the Role

Join Southern California Edison (SCE) as a Vegetation Management Advisor and help build a cleaner energy future. In this role, you will manage and refine processes to address, escalate, track, and resolve Vegetation Management (VM) events and threats. Serve as the single point of contact for VM event management, including customer refusals, escalations, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Represent VM and the Company in interactions with customers, contractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, law enforcement, SCE/EIX departments, and third parties to ensure proper resolution of complex VM-related issues. Your work will support safety, financial outcomes, and the overall effectiveness of Vegetation Management at SCE.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute contracts and agreements in compliance with administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure permits and easements for facilities are obtained in accordance with relevant city, county, and agency regulations.
  • Develop and implement data management practices to sustain model integrity.
  • Direct and coordinate transmission and distribution activities, including outage management, facility maintenance, and capital improvements.
  • Obtain management approval for ongoing projects and conduct tracking, analysis, and resolution of project cost, scope, resource, and schedule issues.
  • Retrieve, analyze, and summarize business, operations, customer, and economic data to develop business intelligence and predict outcomes.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns, and prepare reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) to support business decisions.
  • Monitor budget variances regularly and prepare long-term budget forecasts.
  • Ensure the protection of SCE’s physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and manage sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in energy delivery and distribution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience with event management tools and/or Work Management Systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of Vegetation Management Codes and Standards such as NERC Standard FAC-003, GO95 Rule 35/37, Public Resource Codes 4292 & 4293.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track status, and provide management reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service resolution skills.

Schedule

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. The work mode may change based on business needs.

This role requires up to 10% traveling and fieldwork throughout the SCE service territory.
