VDI Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide Senior level expertise for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment
• Lead as the Subject Matter Expert on all VDI related issues/needs
• Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages
• Work in a rapid paced environment at times
• Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements
• Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed
• Interact with Tier III support and evaluate vendor products
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
• Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and maintain standard operating procedures
• Apply security settings and other commercial best practices
• Provide coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 8+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment
• Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices
• Experience with Horizon
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required
• IAT Level II certification
• This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret). Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required

Pay

• $70.00 - $75.00/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reston, VA. This is a fully onsite position.
