Position Overview

We are looking for a VDC Regional Lead – North America to join our Digital Engineering leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the regional operations of our Digital Engineering (DE) services, ensuring successful project delivery, financial performance, and continued growth of the service offering. This is a senior leadership position with accountability for regional P&L performance, project delivery, team utilization, and client relationships. You will oversee multiple projects and portfolios, ensuring work is delivered to the highest quality standards while meeting schedule and profitability targets. The role also plays a key strategic function in expanding Digital Engineering services, strengthening client partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities. Working closely with global leadership, you will help shape regional strategy, drive innovation, and build a high-performing team environment across the region.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Digital Engineering team across the region, ensuring alignment with company objectives and service growth strategies.
  • Responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within the region, ensuring work is completed to the company’s high-quality standards, within schedule, and within financial targets.
  • Accountable for regional financial performance, including monitoring team utilization, managing work-in-progress (WIP), overseeing invoicing, and ensuring projects achieve targeted gross profit margins.
  • Led regional strategy initiatives to support the growth of Digital Engineering services and contribute to broader corporate strategic planning activities.
  • Oversee resource planning and recruitment activities in collaboration with the broader Digital Engineering leadership team to ensure the region has the capacity and capability to meet project demands.
  • Ensure strong governance across projects, including accurate job setup, reporting, and compliance with internal project management systems and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives and maintaining a healthy pipeline of projects.
  • Support bid preparation, proposals, and client engagement efforts across the organization to secure new work and expand service offerings.
  • Promote innovation within the team by identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies, digital engineering workflows, and emerging industry tools.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams to support the implementation and expansion of software platforms and digital solutions used across the organization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and committees to strengthen regional presence and promote the Digital Engineering service offering.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture by supporting team engagement, professional development, and adherence to performance review processes.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in either/or the commercial building, infrastructure, energy, mining, and industrial sectors, working within brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • Previous experience in design, construction or operations lifecycle of a project, leading project delivery and teams.
  • Previous experience working in professional services setting, at a consulting firm, providing advisory services will be seen as beneficial.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree related to the construction industry (architecture, engineering, construction management, etc.).
  • Master’s degree related to the construction industry or business administration preferred.
  • One or several professional certifications related to project management and or construction preferred (e.g., PMP, PE, CM-BIM, CCM, LEED AP, etc.).

Software & Technology

  • Experience in the use common AEC design authoring software (Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla, Microstation, Civil3D, SmartPlant and or Aveva products).
  • Experience in several data and model management tools including but not limited to Navisworks, Solibri, iConstruct, Dynamo, Grasshopper, infraworks, recap, dRofus, Maximo, FME.
  • Experience in several digital twin platforms including but not limited to Hexagon, Aveva, Nvidia, Autodesk and other platforms.
  • Experience in any other design, data and construction related software will be seen as beneficial.
